The Information Technology Specialist reports to the Senior Technology Project Manager.
These individual supports curriculum delivery and has the primary purpose of enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the electronic platforms and technology used by the college.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1.
Excellent computer skills necessary with the ability to adapt quickly to new software and platforms, while understanding the standard software life cycle.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office setting.
10.
Based on requirement analysis, the IT specialist must have the ability to assess/evaluate off the shelf-software and provide educated recommendations for potential implementation.
Technical Skills 1.
Advanced knowledge and skills in the Microsoft 365 suite of products, including but not limited to, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Visio, and Power Automate.
2.
Advanced knowledge of relational DB and SQL queries.
3.
Advanced knowledge and skill in scripting/programming language preferably python and/or PHP 4.
Comprehensive knowledge on web related technologies: • HTML and CSS • XML and JSON • JAVASCRIPT 5.
Working knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
6.
Familiarity with cloud platforms development.
7.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including: Waterfall, Agile and Iterative.
Required Qualifications 1.
Education: Required – BS in Information Technology or Computer Science.
Any combination of education, training, or experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Provide support to faculty, staff, and students with usage of curricular software, including but not limited to, eValue, T-Res, Elentra and ExamSoft, MS Office Suite, including Teams, Zoom.

Ability to carry software solutions through the software development life cycle (SDLC).
This includes the ability to work independently and or contribute as a team member to any of the following: Feasibility study Requirements gathering and analyzing Designing/prototyping Developing/building (write clean, concise, and efficient code) Testing Implementing Percentage Of Time 30 Job Duties 3.
Work collaboratively with college administration, faculty, staff, IT, and other University departments to assist in planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing college IT solutions.

Define and design software training procedures and programs.

Maintain and support good operation as well as recommend continuous improvement of college database, software, and platforms.
