Under general supervision of the Vice President of Applications, the Application development analyst is responsible for creating, modifing, and maintaining application platforms.
The analyst must ensure the upkeep and support business applications while adhering to technology guidelines and maintaining compliance with corporate information security protocols.
This position collaborates with the leadership and other business partners to formulate and execute the direction and vision of all operational applications.
Work Duties Planning, coordinating, and leading activities related to the design, development, and implementation of system build Developing, testing and deploying customizations, custom objects, new functionality, and modules based on evolving business needs Monitoring end-user usage of systems and tracking performance while working with other departments to ensure success in reaching their goals Working closely with IT teammates, project leaders, internal partners, third party vendors, and end users to understand and analyze requirements and formulate technical solutions to meet evolving business needs Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to understand their business processes and needs, ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational objectives.
Providing internal, on-going system/technical support to users, including system administration, system security, system configuration, training and maintaining proper system access for all roles Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, technical specifications, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support continuity of operations.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of platform functionality, customization, and integrations to support business operations Drive continuous improvement initiatives for system efficiency, user experience, and business process optimization, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with system changes, ensuring data security, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical IT systems, conducting regular tests and drills to validate effectiveness and minimize downtime in the event of disruptions.
Lead or contribute to projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, task tracking, and stakeholder communication, to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
Ability to understands software and hardware requirements as applicable to the multiple application and varied departments Ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications as a subject matter expert.
Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards for software development and deployment, conducting thorough testing and validation to ensure reliability, scalability, and usability of applications.
Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical team members at all organizational levels Collaborate with business analysts to design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide insights into key performance indicators and support informed decision-making.
Ability to demonstrated soft skills required; listening to customer’s needs, communicating ideas clearly to customers, being an advocate for customers, understanding how to prioritize workload, and presenting ideas.
Act as the primary liaison between the organization and software vendors, managing vendor relationships, and service level agreements to ensure timely resolution of issues and alignment with business needs.
Ability to recommend and implement standards, policies, and procedures to achieve agreed upon service levels agreements including maintaining performance, upgrades, back-up, recovery and archive functions Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end users to enhance their proficiency with IT systems and tools, promoting self-service capabilities and reducing dependency on IT support.
Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis reports.
Apply principles of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework to IT service management processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service desk operations, to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
Lead change management efforts to minimize disruptions caused by system upgrades, enhancements, or migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and user acceptance.
Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience: Prefer degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
