Job Overview
This is a union position.
Client Engagement and Navigation Services (CENS) focuses on increasing show rates for substance use disorder treatment clients shared with state and County entities with whom they will be working.
The CENS achieves this aim by meaningfully engaging these clients, determining which SUD services are most appropriate for individuals based on an ASAM brief triage assessment for adults and an evidence-based screening tool for youth, motivating the individual to connect with the selected treatment provider, and ensuring that these individuals have the necessary support (e.
g.
, transportation) and health coverage (e.
g.
, Medi-Cal or My Health LA) to successfully connect with these treatment services.
The CENs program works closely with various locations throughout SPA 3 (Pomona, Pasadena and El Monte).
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of daily functions of the front office.
Develop and oversee systems to ensure the efficiency of front office.
Provide excellent customer service.
Provide administrative and clerical assistance as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with oversight of the front office systems to ensure the efficiency and excellent customer service.
• Ensure daily operation of Front Office
• Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages.
• Check clients in/out, greet and sign-in guests, announce arrival of clients and guests to appropriate staff.
• Confirm current information for clients at check-in.
• Maintain room use schedule for Conference Room and Sign-Up Rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of staff lounge, workroom, lobby.
• Maintain organization of Medical Records room, ensuring documents are filed and charts are in order.
• Assist with ordering and distribution of office/program supplies.
• Assist in securing program areas at the end of each workday.
• Arrange work schedule in accordance with the agency’s needs.
• Comply with the agency's policies and procedures.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in front office of a health clinic or equivalent.
• Experience working with clients that have a Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health Disorder, or trauma preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Must not be on probation or parole.
• Dependable automobile and insurance, registration and valid California Drivers License.
