Under General Supervision, the Marketing Assistant will provide administrative and practical support to the Marketing department.
Responsible for various tasks such as making deliveries, filing paperwork, assembling materials, and providing general assistance to colleagues.
Will need to be able to multitask and have excellent communication skills.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in organizing and executing marketing collateral, including promotional items, photoshoots, and material deliveries
• Assists with special projects in Marketing and Communications as required
• Assist the Marketing department with daily assignments, including but not limited to providing administrative support and analysis
• Ensure the Marketing department is prepared with all the necessary materials
• Coordinate department events
• Provide clerical support wherever needed, including answering phones, routing mail, copying documents, filing and retrieving information, and assembling department relevant materials
• Will be exposed to coordinating and leading research or project execution as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Previous experience in marketing, advertising, or related roles is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an exceptional eye for detail and creativity
• A passion for events, fairs, and entertainment, and an understanding of the target audience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required, especially during peak fairground seasons
• Must possess a valid Driver License and have a clean driving record
• Must be able to move around the fair grounds
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
