1960 Chevy Apache 10, Helms Bakery panel truck.
Fleet # 909, still on back door.
Original awning brackets still on roof (NO awning or hardware).
Still has about 1/2 of original paint.
I do NOT have the drawers, but have the partition behind the front seat area.
Front sheet metal removed, all detailed firewall, front frame, torsion suspension.
New CCP front disc brake conversion, drop spindles, dual master cylinder and new brake lines.
New rear brakes.
Rebuilt front end (per previous owner).
18" Nissan Titan wheels, tires so-so, one is flat.
Reconditioned original 235 CID engine (per previous owner).
MANY new upgrade parts, Ididit steering column, SS total replacement hardware.
NEW wiring loom, original radiator re-cored (in box), new hood hinges.
New front floors and rockers, already installed.
New replacement patch panels for lower front fender sections and original door bottoms.
TOO much to list here, still have most of the original parts (good for re-sale).
There is easily over $15K in parts and labor, truck is almost free.

99% complete.
If restored to original condition, would qualify for Historical license plates.
I originally bought a '61 Helms truck from the Montebello bakery in 1969, 3 weeks before they closed down (Google "Helms Bakery/Trucks" for an interesting history)
I had it for 2 years in high school.
Had to sell it, looked 40 years for another one, I've had this one almost 10 years.
Then my health took a permanent road south, I can't do what I wanted to do.
My obsession, and loss, will have to benefit someone else.
Truck will have to be flat bed towed, as engine is sitting in the back of the truck.
Surface rust on undercarriage, not bad at all for a 63 year old truck.
CAN NOT BE DRIVEN CURRENTLY.
ANY serious, cash-in-hand offer, less than my stated price, will result in my keeping some of the new equipment, at MY discretion only.
