Cubework is seeking a talented Installation Technician with a diverse skill set, including surveillance video camera installer skills, electrical technician skills, low-voltage cabling installation skills, and level 1 helpdesk technician skills.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our facility's security infrastructure, as well as providing technical support to our team members.
*Responsibilities:*
* Install, configure, and maintain surveillance video camera systems throughout our facilities to ensure the safety and security of our assets, personnel, and inventory.
* Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, including camera placement, cable routing, and power supply needs, and develop installation plans accordingly.
* Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including Ethernet, coaxial, and power cables, to connect cameras to recording devices, power sources, and network infrastructure.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to surveillance camera systems, including wiring problems, connectivity issues, and camera malfunctions, in a timely and efficient manner.
* Provide level 1 helpdesk support to internal team members, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with user account management, and resolving network connectivity issues.
* Collaborate with facility managers, security personnel, and IT staff to implement security policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and address security-related concerns.
* Document installation activities, including equipment used, cable runs, and configuration settings, and maintain accurate records for reference and reporting purposes.
* Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to surveillance and security systems and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve system performance and effectiveness.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in surveillance technology, electrical systems, or low voltage cabling preferred.
* Proven experience in surveillance video camera installation, including knowledge of camera types, mounting techniques, and cable installation methods.
* Strong electrical technician skills, including the ability to safely work with power tools, wiring, and electrical components.
* Experience with low voltage cabling installation, including Ethernet, coaxial, and power cables, and proficiency in cable termination and testing.
* Familiarity with IP networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS, and the ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to different facilities within the company's network as needed.
