ABOUT THE ROLE Trojan Battery Company is looking for a committed and thorough person for the Material Handler I role.
The Material Handler is a critical role in ensuring the adequate flow of materials through out the plant.
The Material Handler will be committed to performing the role safely and have the ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including a respirator.

THE DAY-TO-DAY Distribution of activities that are conducted in accordance with International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 while maintaining a safe work environment Timely and efficient movement of materials to and from the production line to facilitate an efficient manufacturing process Assure material movement and inventory changes are appropriately and precisely tracked Operate machinery and perform minor adjustments or setup Utilize RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory transfers from/to warehouse and/or manufacturing plant and to record number of units of material moved or handled during shift Complete reports or inspection sheets as instructed Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions (Adherence to FIFO Policies and Protocols).
Complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of measure, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials Ability to use hand and/or power tools, such as (hammers, cutting saws, nail gun, etc.
) Identify different products and attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on pallets Ability to successfully complete power equipment certification Follow and maintain Lean activities; 5S Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE Understand and practice the TBC Quality policy Understand and follow work instructions Complete daily housekeeping tasks Be at work station on time Leave work station on time, unless otherwise instructed by Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager Ability to work in a dynamic environment, and be able to handle challenging situations Ability to work variable and flexible hours including overtime Ability to be detail oriented, and sense of urgency Other duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Read, write, and speak basic English.
Performs basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers Exhibit professional and ethical communication skills Ability to work in a team environment High School Diploma or GED requirement Forklift experience if you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
