*Job Description: *
To repair, install, and adjust manufacturing equipment such as Converting, Slitters, ABM Machines and Pipeline Distribution Systems by using the needed tools, standard & metric, (must provide their own tools) and be able to operate forklift, chain hoist and welding.
Maintain and repair the electrical components of equipment used in all devices that involve electricity to keep machinery and special equipment operating correctly.
Wire equipment and fixtures and ensure that all work completed is in accordance with relevant codes.
Build and service electronic devices by reading schematics, inspecting for problems, replacement of old equipment with new equipment.
Also, use specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate how electrical equipment is working.
Maintain records and files, prepare reports, order supplies and equipment as needed.
*Main Duties:*
1.
Conduct Preventive Maintenance and Lubrication on Machinery and record/ maintain maintenance in logbook.
2.
Record parts and materials used, place requisition for new parts and materials as necessary.
3.
Analyze test results, machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
4.
Repair and trouble shoot manufacturing equipment in all facets, provide operational up time.
5.
Maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
6.
Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
7.
Study blueprints and MFG manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
8.
Demonstrate equipment functions and features to Machine Operators.
9.
Enter codes and instructions to program computer- controlled machinery.
*Skills and Requirements:*
· Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
· Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in this field.
· Technician needs to be able to look for problems in complicated electrical grids, isolate the issue and solve it.
· Logic Technician need to be able to look at electrical blueprints and scan them for issues, making sure that they work before installed.
· Manual Dexterity, working with wires using hand tools and handling small components requires manual dexterity.
· Math skills are needed to analyze and create schematics.
· Observation- Needs to be able to look at electrical grids and evaluate them for any problems to make sure they are being installed correctly.
· Problem Solving- Technician need to be able to identify issues and make corrective measures to fix problems with electrical components.
· Troubleshooting- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
· Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
