We are Vontas, a leader in transportation software, and we need an Experienced Field Service Technician for our North American customer base.
This role will ensure our products work with our client’s vehicle fleets.
The right candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Support installation of Vontas hardware and software on client vehicles
* Performing operational maintenance, system and technical product troubleshooting, repair and system tests -ensuring optimum operation
* Works to troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems with the 3rd level support engineers.
* Verifies documentation, system integration, and vehicle functionality are sound.
* Supports and inspects technology integration throughout vehicle build.
* Communicate with internal and external customers by phone, email and/or on-site visits as assigned.
* Other duties include formal/informal training.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Previous *experience with automotive computer electronics*, *commercial mobile radio installations*, and or *mobile hardware assembly and testing.
*
* *Previous testing*, *analysis*, and *troubleshooting* of *complex electronic systems.
*
* Previous use of *analyzers, meters*, and other *test equipment*.
* Ability to *read*, *understand*, and *generate mechanical drawings.
*
* Effective *mathematic* *skills* to *perform measurements* and *calculations*
* *Prefer* *Associate of Applied Science* degree or better work experience in the Automotive Technology, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Information Systems fields.
