is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty parts, components, and systems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each piece of equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment and in the shop.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding equipment issues and repair timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of various heavy equipment brands and models.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical drawings.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Certification from a technical school or equivalent training program is preferred.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Communicate with parts, materials, and fuel suppliers to ensure everything is readily available for equipment.
Communicate with equipment operators to understand their needs and provide solutions based on their issues.
Communicate with office personnel to ensure that receipts are tracked and all mechanic operations are properly documented for record-keeping purposes.
