Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our QC Microbiology department in support of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in La Verne, CA.
This is an entry level position where the QC Microbiology Tech I will be primarily responsible for performing Environmental Monitoring (EM – manufacturing areas and personnel) in support of routine, production, investigation and validation related activities and utility sampling (Feedwater, WFI, Pure Steam, CDA and N2) in support of routine, investigation and validation activities.
The QC Micro Tech I will also prepare/sterilize (steam, VHP) EM equipment and supplies and assist with ordering and/or maintaining testing supplies.
This position requires personnel to gown into controlled manufacturing areas, lift up to 5 lbs, stand on feet for prolonged periods at a time (3-4 hrs), push/pull carts and work in a fast-paced environment.
**THIS ROLE IS SCHEDULED TO RUN WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY (6pm-6am)**
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to work 3rd shift and/or flexible schedule as needed
Demonstrate good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability work independently and in a team environment
Basic understanding of aseptic operations
Entry level knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office applications and other software applications
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree and 1+ year of relevant experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to operate autoclaves and other sterilizing equipment
Ability to use computers
Has experience with LIMS
Has experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
The salary range for this position is: $53,125.

These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
