*A leader in the food production is searching for a PLC Tech!*
*Responsibilities: *
* Develop and implement PLC programs to automate and control various processes within the production environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production supervisors, to gather requirements and design effective control system solutions.
* Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC hardware and software systems, including controllers, I/O modules, HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and communication networks.
* Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality and optimal performance.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or failures related to the control systems.
* Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in PLC programming techniques, incorporating best practices into the company's control systems.
* Document technical specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions for PLC systems.
Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance personnel on the use and troubleshooting of control systems.
* Adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment.
*Qualifications: *
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant work experience may be considered instead of a degree.
* Proven experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams.
* In-depth knowledge of various PLC platforms, such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider Electric.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including sensors, actuators, motor controls, and safety devices.
* Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and their integration with PLCs.
* Experience with HMI development and configuration.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Knowledge of food industry regulations and standards (e.
g.
, FDA, GMP) is a plus.
