Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of onsite equipment.
Maintenance Mechanics contribute to the overall upkeep of mechanical and electrical equipment such as motors, compressors, and circuits.
Under limited supervision, Maintenance Mechanics often partner with the General Manager to communicate issues and help budget for upcoming expenses to the course.
Responsibilities
Maintain operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and tools following operations manuals and manufacturer’s instructions
Assist clubhouse maintenance and cart mechanic with fabrications and adjustments as needed
Maintain equipment, parts and supply inventories by checking stock inventories, anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt
Provide mechanical maintenance reports by maintaining documentation of repairs and parts ordering
Provide information and training on proper use and maintenance of equipment by communicating with co-workers
Oversee shop area maintenance by ensuring that shop remains clean and orderly and that tools are kept clean and in proper working condition
Ensure operational success by obtaining event information from all departments to meet special maintenance requirements and requests
Resolve escalated maintenance issues
Train, direct, and evaluate the work of other Maintenance Mechanics as directed
Order equipment and supplies as needed and approved by management
Maintain good working relationships with vendors and vendor mechanics
Perform fabrications when routine problem solving has not proven effective
Ensure warranty requirements are processed
Maintain familiarity with all safety programs
Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as requested by management
Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma required (Specialty/Technical Training preferred) and 2 years of related experience in reel grinding, small engine repair, welding, electrical, carpentry, or equivalent combination of educations and experience

Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull.
The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, or sharp objects.
