The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
Additionally, this role involves managing the production team, implementing 5S practices, and managing various administrative responsibilities, including production planning/scheduling and safety program adherence.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Assign and manage day-to-day tasks of assembly shop personnel.
· Analyze production process for improvement opportunities.
· Utilize engineering expertise to troubleshoot and improve production efficiency.
· Organize and lead training programs, emphasizing Safety and ISO 9001 requirements.
· Maintain accurate inventory of materials and hardware through inventory transfers and cycle counting.
· Conduct incoming inspections of production material to ensure quality and compliance.
· Provide technical assistance for the assembly team as required, while fostering a culture of accountability for quality and self-efficiency.
· Troubleshoot DC electrical concerns while adhering to safety protocols.
· Help to create and monitor KPIs relating to delivery, productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality.
· Interview, hire, and continuously evaluate employee performance.
· Communicate regularly with upper management regarding production issues.
· Manage the production planning and scheduling for the shop floor.
· Conduct regular continuous improvement exercises.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lean manufacturing principles.
· Oversee and implement 5S practices for an organized and efficient workspace.
· Manage the timely creation and completion of Work Orders and Pick Lists.

*Position Requirements (Education and/or Experience and Skills): *
· Ability to lift heavy objects.
· Ability to diagnose machinery.
· Ability to drive a forklift.
· Exceptional organizational and people skills with a positive attitude.
· Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
· Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and ISO 9001 documentation.
· Manufacturing experience including LEAN and ISO 9001 compliance.
· Supervisory and training experience.
· Production planning experience.
· Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
· Winch knowledge/experience is a plus.
