Our expanding Low Voltage Contractor in Southern CA is seeking a Fleet Manager to join our team.
The work environment is energetic and fast-paced, and we're looking for a highly motivated individual who can handle a large volume of requests, demonstrate excellent leadership and decision-making skills, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Our goal is to provide the highest level of service to our company's fleet drivers.
Responsibilities:
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a growing fleet of 450 vehicles, with operations in six different states.
The candidate must have prior fleet experience and knowledge of commercial vehicle purchases, maintenance, repairs, and fleet-related documentation.
They must be able to plan, manage, coordinate, maintain, repair, and replace vehicles.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Forecasting new requests, strategically utilizing, reassigning existing resources, and tracking vehicle transfers and assignments electronically for new hires and current employees.
Coordinating the purchase of new vehicles, from standardized vehicle selections, using resource planning and analysis to fill new hire requests and replace high mileage and total loss vehicles in the fleet.
Coordinating transportation of vehicles to local and out of state office locations.
Processing time-sensitive requests quickly and efficiently for fuel cards, driver pin #’s, roadside service, evaluation and approval of services, and credit card payment for smog, repairs, and/or maintenance services.
Creating Fleet Purchase orders, reviewing, approving, and submitting invoices for payment, setting up new vendors, maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections, evaluation and authorization of maintenance and repairs.
Assisting drivers with vehicle accident documentation, guidance, reporting/management of claim, and repair of the vehicle.
Sending out and tracking monthly vehicle inspection reports, coordinating repairs and completing vehicle repairs.
Addressing employee vehicle maintenance and care of the vehicle, timely payment of vehicle citations, driver complaints, all GPS related items, and violations of company fleet policy.
Performing routine audits on all fleet-related fuel usage and toll road accounts.
Accurately processing and maintaining vehicle documentation such as registrations, certificates of title, release of liability forms, and insurance documentation.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have prior fleet management experience, strong leadership and decision-making skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a large volume of requests in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate must also have knowledge of commercial vehicle purchases, maintenance, repairs, and fleet-related documentation.
