The Production Scheduler creates an efficient schedule for chemical blending and packaging operations at our City of Industry manufacturing facility.
Utilize data from reports, spreadsheets, and the ERP to understand customer demand and inventory levels.
Incorporate sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and demand spikes when planning future production.
Track resource availability to optimize daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
Works with production floor to understand manpower, maintenance team to schedule PMs, and purchasing to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging components.
Provide clear and accurate communication to sales, customer service, transportation, and other departments.
Measure and report on lead times, plan attainment, and performance.
*Requirements*
* High School diploma or greater
* At least 3 years experience in production planning, scheduling, capacity planning, or a related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent Excel and computer skills.
Experience with Redzone a plus.
