KJMLAW Partners, PLC is a boutique law firm that provides estate planning, trust administration, probate, and litigation services.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic professional who can work well independently and as part of a team.
We are seeking an associate attorney with at least four (4) years of experience in probate and/or civil litigation to join our team.
Applicant must have strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
Ideal candidates must be able to operate independently with limited need for supervision.
We are looking for someone who is a great team player, has a positive attitude, and who will develop strong relationships with our large client base while providing quality and effective representation.
Qualifications:
- At least four (4) years probate and/or civil litigation experience (probate litigation experience preferred)
- Familiarity with the Code of Civil Procedure (required)
- Familiarity with the Probate Code (preferred)
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize caseload

and an active California Bar license required
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Experience propounding and responding to discovery requests
- Significant experience preparing legal briefs and developing case strategies
- Ability to multi-task and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently
Responsibilities:
- Making court appearances, taking depositions, and assisting with trials
- Performing legal research, fact investigation, law and motion practice, and communicating with expert witnesses
- Providing legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately
- Other duties as needed to support the legal and management goals of the department
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings and correspondence
- Managing and prioritize multiple projects and assignments
Salary range: $90,000.
00 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
