*Position Overview:*
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our legal team.
As an Immigration Attorney, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services and guidance to individuals and families in matters related to immigration.
*Responsibilities:*
* Represent clients before various government agencies, including the U.
S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), California Family Court, Probate Court and other relevant entities.
* Prepare and file various immigration petitions, applications, statements, declarations and supporting documents, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and procedural requirements for Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment of Status, SIJS, U Visas, VAWA, and Waivers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
* Handle Probate and Family Court filings, motions, including Guardianships and Special Immigrant Juvenile Findings and other relevant legal documents related to immigration matters.
* Conduct comprehensive legal research and writing in preparation of motions, briefs, and appeals for cases before the USCIS Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
* Draft legal briefs to support legal arguments, strategies, and case preparation.
* Maintain regular communication and correspondence with clients and government agencies, providing updates on case progress and responding to inquiries.
* Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure effective case management and teamwork.
*Qualifications:*
* Fluent in Spanish.
* Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school.
* Admitted and in Good Standing with the California State Bar.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing immigration law.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and government officials.
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
