We are a growing and busy immigration law firm seeking a responsible, motivated, and Spanish-speaking Paralegal with experience in immigration law.
*Duties and Responsibility*
* Experience preparing and filing appropriate forms with the all or some of the following: Immigration Court (EOIR), California Family/Probate Court, U.
S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the National Visa Center (NVC);
* Experience in defensive immigration, including I-589 Asylum, EOIR-42A/42B Cancellation of Removal, Draft Motions, Prosecutorial Discretion, SIJS Parental/Guardianships, Preparing court filings, declarations and other legal documents;
* Experience with Affirmative I-589 Asylums and Family-Based immigration cases, including I-130's, I-485's, I-601A waivers, Consular Processing, DACA, VAWA, U-Visa, I-360 SIJS;
* Communicate with attorneys and clients, gathering facts and evidence to support our client’s applications, drafting declarations, assemble documentation, keep clients informed of case status and more;
* Position is writing intensive and requires excellent English writing skills with correct grammar and punctuation;
* Manage cases effectively to make sure deadlines are met;
* Maintain case spreadsheets, case management software and hard copy filing system;
