Job Description: We are actively seeking an Import/Export Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.
This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of freight forwarding, specializing in ocean and air import/export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate seamless communication via email with overseas partners to coordinate new bookings and sailing schedules.
• Ensure customers are kept well-informed about new bookings, sailing schedules, and competitive rates.
• Proactively manage pre-alerts, ensuring timely filing of ISF (Importer Security Filing).
• Accurately receive and input pre-alert information into our systems.
• Prepare arrival notices, handle customs clearance, and oversee final delivery processes.
• Maintain weekly updates on shipment status reports to provide customers with real-time information.
• Execute precise invoicing and cost updates.
• Demonstrate expertise in ocean export operations and ACE filing.
• Uphold an unwavering commitment to delivering excellence in customer service.
• Efficiently manage shipments from initiation to completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for both new and existing clients.
Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding, specifically in ocean import/export operations.
• A deep understanding of the intricacies of the freight forwarding role, including importation/exportation processes.
• A proven ability to work effectively with demanding deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer tools to analyze costs, rates, freights, and processes.
• Essential knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with various stakeholders.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in writing professional emails and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently before seeking assistance.
