Journey Transport is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a satellite locations throughout California.
We are currently seeking reliable and experienced drivers to join our team as Healthcare Van Drivers (non-ambulance) to provide services in the Long Beach, Los Angeles, and San Gabriel Valley areas.
We provide Non-Emergency Specialty Transportation to folks who require a little extra attention, support, and time to get to and from their medical appointments within the local Healthcare system.
We are currently hiring for part-time and full-time positions.
Benefits are available for full-time personnel after completion of our Introductory period (about 3 months).
*Applicants must be flexible with their availability, and able to work a varying schedule.
* We typically find out our transportation schedule 12 to 24 hours in advance, and schedule our drivers accordingly.
Currently, shifts occur Monday-Saturday and generally begin between 5am and 11am.
Employees can expect to initially work 4-5 days per week on a varying schedule which may differ a bit from day to day.
Employees may be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
This position is NOT a good fit for those with limited availability.
Employee availability is very important to us as our scheduled changes very frequently.
Applicants are required to be available to work Sunday-Saturday.
We require the following qualifications;
- over 24 years old with clean driving record
- minimum 3 year’s driving experience
- proof of full vaccination (including COVID with booster)
- familiar with local road/freeway systems
- applicants MUST provide a copy of a current DMV Driver History Report/K4 driving record printout (available online)
- clean criminal record, we do perform background checks on all employees
- ability to pass a physical and drug screening (including marijuana)
- must be reliable and dependable
