JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring all mixed nuts and candy cases remain stocked and clean during business hours.
Assists customers and co-workers as instructed by supervisor.
This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Produce Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures.
Ensures each Super King Market customer served receives outstanding service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, inquiring if any assistance is needed, listening to the needs of customers, maintaining solid product knowledge and thanking them for shopping at Super King Market.
Ensures accurate and efficient operation of the register; includes cash management of the drawer throughout their shift, correct distribution of change and ensuring debits and credits are coded properly.
Maintains orderly appearance of Mixed Nuts area Oversees the stocking and maintenance of mixed nuts cases; requires delegating as needed to ensure adequate presentation of product, good selection/variety, and correct pricing and product dating to maintain appropriate rotation of mixed nuts goods.
Oversees the mixed nuts counter; ensures prompt assistance is provided to customers and that staff is offering advice on selection, preparation and packaging of mixed nuts products.
Oversees the cleaning of mixed nuts cases; requires delegating as needed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all surfaces.
Assists Store Director with receiving, stocking, rotation of product and inventory of department as requested.
Monitors and maintains mixed nuts department merchandising displays and signage.
Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of mixed nuts department.
Walks department regularly to ensure an organized and clean appearance at all times.
Communicates customer concerns and request to management Follows federal and state sanitation and Weights and Measures guidelines.
Answers questions and practices suggestive selling.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for entire scheduled shift.
Must be able to bend, and lift, 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and other staff members Must have basic knowledge of math, weights and measures; ability to read, count and write to accurately complete required documentation Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times Must be able to work under high volume conditions with little to no supervision Ability to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situations Must have excellent attention to detail Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask Previous food service knowledge a plus Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude Reliable, dependable, organized Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback Ability to follow direction Exemplary customer service skills Self-motivated and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to identify potential situations and respond appropriately Ability to multi-task Dexterity in hands to wrap and package product.
