ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: The Dishwasher ensures that the kitchen stays clean and organized.
They set up dish stations and turn on dish cleaning machines.
They spend their time loading and unloading dishes from dish machines, washing all pans or utensils that come into contact with food, and scraping identifiers off everything.
Once dishes are cleaned, Dishwashers will put them on the drying rack and put away dry dishes into cabinets and on shelves.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO:
Dishwasher workers are responsible for removing used kitchenware from dining and cooking areas Load and unloading dishes from dish machine.
Ensuring dishes are clean
Wash specific items by hand using 3 pot sink (Wash, Rinse, Sanitize) Put dishes in designated clean area that is ready to use again.
Take care when washing fine china and glassware Receive deliveries for food and paper good
Put orders on shelves using FIFO (First in first out methods Other duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED); must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 6 months quick service restaurant experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year.

In addition, the Foundation administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications.
The Foundation contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
