Job Description:
As a dishwasher and prep cook, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, as well as assisting the chefs with food preparation tasks.
Your duties will include washing dishes, pots, and pans, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
You will also be responsible for preparing food ingredients, such as chopping vegetables and measuring ingredients.
Your main goal is to ensure that the kitchen is clean, well-organized, and stocked with the necessary supplies to ensure efficient operation.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience as a dishwasher or prep cook preferred, but not required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
* Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additionally, some employers may require candidates to have a food handler's certificate or other relevant certifications.
