Sitter / Activity Aide

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Sitter / Activity Aide to join our team.
As a Sitter / Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities.
This position requires a strong understanding of aging issues and the ability to provide support and companionship to our residents.
Duties: - Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities for residents - Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities - Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed - Create a warm and welcoming environment for residents - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of residents - Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities - Assist with scheduling and managing activity calendars - Plan and coordinate special events and outings for residents Skills: - Experience in memory care or dementia care is preferred - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members - Knowledge of aging issues and the ability to provide counseling and support to residents - Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living is a plus - Familiarity with recreational therapy techniques is beneficial - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively - Creativity and the ability to plan engaging activities for diverse groups of individuals If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
