*A lovely family of four in South Pasadena is looking for a full time Family Assistant/Nanny to help them through a challenging time.
The position begins as soon as possible and the schedule will be M-F 9am-5pm (guaranteed-flexibility to occasionally come early or stay late would be appreciated.

*The father of this family was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Mom works full time and is now also her husband’s caregiver.
They want to make sure they have the support needed to keep their home functioning on a daily basis (no deep cleaning or family cooking required.
) *
*They also need after school care for their two children, ages 7 and 5; their goal is to provide their kids with as much normalcy and fun as possible.

*Requirements for this position are as follows: 5+ years of professional childcare experience, current cpr/first aid in-person certification (or willingness to update), covid vaccination with at least one booster, annual flu shot, a clean criminal background, a clear driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle and competent swimming skills (the family has a pool.
) *
*The duties are light snack/meal prep, family errands, laundry and general light tidying while kids are at school, school pick-up and childcare for the afternoon hours.

*The ideal person for this family is kind, playful, proactive, trustworthy, and responsible, with a good understanding of when to be serious.
They are looking for someone who is very joyful, pleasant, and optimistic, but who doesn’t need a lot of attention from the family or a lot of direction; mom really needs a professional who takes initiative and thinks on their feet.

*The pay being offered is $35 per hour on payroll, with a modest healthcare stipend and standard paid time off.
