Controller - Manufacturing Experience Preferred
The Controller is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of results and maintenance of the company’s assets through balance sheet integrity and ensuring a strong control environment.
Prepares financial analyses of the organization for the guidance of management.
Responsible for the Company’s financial plans, policies, accounting practices.
Responsible for the fiscal records and preparations of financial reports.
*Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities*
* Manage a small team of professionals to complete all daily accounting and finance functions
* Ensure a timely, accurate close of the general ledger monthly, followed by the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
* Management of all corporate rebate and royalty programs along with timely filing of necessary reports
* Develop or enhance policies and procedures through systems that will improve financial insight and overall operations
* Track labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels.
* Participates in setting strategic goals for the organization while motivating individuals within the group to successfully carry out assignments in service to those goals and alignment of the team behind financial and operational goals
* Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators to monitor financial and overall health of the business;
* Devise monthly/quarterly KPI collection procedures and put in place reporting mechanisms and materials for Company leadership
* Provide timely and accurate budgets and forecasts, along with ongoing cash flow analysis and other relevant financial reports as needed.
* Continue to improve the budgeting and forecasting processes by engaging with and involving Company leadership
* Enhance and manage Cost Accounting activities
* Provide strategic value-added support by working closely with the President to reduce bottom-line costs, identify efficiency opportunities, and support all departments across the organization in implementing opportunities.
* Coordinate, proactively prepare for, and complete all required annual audits timely.
* Build positive and constructive internal and external relationships.
* Manage some IT functions
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
*Experience And Skills*
* 6+ years of professional experience, ideally with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience
* 3+ years’ recent experience in finance leadership roles
* Experienced in a manufacturing environment and prior experience in Cost Accounting
* Curiosity of manufacturing process desired
* Current or prior experience working for a privately held company
* Experience managing a team of 4+ finance staff
* Strong ERP and Excel skills
* Experience with Navision, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems a plus
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
* CPA or CMA preferred
* Conducts himself/herself with the highest ethical and moral standards and inspires the same from staff and co-workers.

* Detailed oriented and demonstrates a high degree of accuracy when performing job duties
* Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.
00 - $165,000.
