The Senior Financial Analyst in this role will be a driver of financial, economic and statistical analyses related to SCE’s financial projections and associated state and federal regulations.
This will include developing analyses for key regulatory filings, such as SCE’s cost of capital application, General Rate Case, SONGS Decommissioning Trust Proceeding, and other cost recovery applications.
In this role, the Senior Analyst will interact with leaders across Finance and other organizational units to drive analyses and decisions to support SCE’s cost recovery activities, financial and economic forecasting, and capital project evaluation.
The Senior Analyst is encouraged to apply strong technical and financial modeling knowledge to analyze financial results, challenge business assumptions and to drive to the best outcome.
This position reports to the Principal Manager of Regulatory Economics.

Direct financial and economic analyses for regulatory applications and proceedings as necessary.
Provide analysis and modeling in support of various strategic and financial planning initiatives.
Interact with Vice President & Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and other SCE and EIX Officers.
Collaborate with outside consultants or financial analysts and project managers in other SCE departments and Treasurers departments.
Interact with regulatory staff and with counterparts at other utilities.
Perform special financial and economic analyses as the need arises for internal corporate purposes.
Qualifications
The Essentials
Five to Seven years of proven experience in the field of financial planning or financial analysis.
Strong grasp of corporate finance concepts.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
The Preferred
BS/BA Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field.
CFA or CPA certifications.
Knowledgeable of the utility industry.

This position’s work mode is hybrid.
The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.
