**Salary - 90K - 95K - Starting pay is depending on experience** General Summary: This role will require the following functions and experience: The Senior Accountant is support to the Divisional Controller & Assistant Controller, and the finance department on many functions pertaining to Charter School operations and reporting.
Incumbents may perform any combination of the functions shown below.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:* · Preparation of complex financial, statistical, and analytical reports and statements to support the Charter Schools financial activities.
· California school district accounting experience preferred.
· Develop data from payroll to complete management reports · Assist Director of Accounting in preparing budgets and forecast for P&L.
· Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
· Assist Director of Accounting to establish and implement processes to streamline department functions.
· Manage fixed asset reporting module.
· Assist in local, state, and federal reporting.
· Coordinate all interim and unaudited actual reports and year end closing.
· Analyze and reconcile various State and Local funds.
· Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: · Federal and state compliance policies and regulations · Generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards (GAAP), Navision/Great Plains computer software, strong Excel user.
· Work well with all levels in finance and across department lines · Meet all deadlines despite constant demands and interruptions · Prepare financial statements · Work under minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment and initiative in an environment of rapid change · Perform advanced financial analyses and prepare complex financial studies · Effectively communicate in English, orally and in writing · Operate personal computer and MS Office software WORKING CONDITIONS ENVIRONMENT: · Office environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions; strict deadlines, some overtime.
Education and Experience: · Minimum of 3 years experience at a public accounting firm.
· Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, economics or finance Valid California Driver's License · Employment eligibility will include fingerprints, tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance · Public Accounting experience preferred *The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
