In this job, you’ll play a key role in supporting all aspects of regulatory and operational compliance in the area of Energy Efficiency at SCE.
This includes working alongside Senior Advisors to complete annual compliance deliverables, conduct quality reviews, test controls, and develop regulatory reports.
You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our operations adhere to stringent industry regulations and guarantee quality oversight of Energy Efficiency programs.

Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future? A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright! Responsible for completing annual Energy Regulation Compliance Program (ERCP) deliverables that includes developing or updating compliance narratives and collecting appropriate evidence of compliance Provide support in conducting quality reviews of iEnergy projects to ensure their approvals complied with the established measure checklist requirements Conduct quality control checks and confidentiality reviews of regulatory filings (e.
g.
, contract advice letters, EE Business Plan Applications, EE Annual Reports, etc.
) Support conducting quality assurance checks and controls testing to ensure operational and regulatory compliance Support the development of Compliance Implementation Plans as needed Responsible for documenting the processes, procedures, and systems that are currently in place in addition to suggesting improvements to make them more efficient and to address any issues or gaps that may exist Support the workgroup in responding to audit findings, gathering information, responding to data requests, and writing reports that are filed with regulatory agencies Support Technical Policy Oversight Team operations and communications to help ensure compliance by managing the distribution of technical memos, capturing meeting notes and action items, and managing records using tools such as Smartsheet and SharePoint Responsible for submitting change requests to Ethics and Compliance (E&C) which may include requests to retire or modify compliance requirements in E&C’s Master Catalog Support systems, dashboard, and automation development efforts as needed, including data validation Responsible for maintaining existing Document Repository and Library framework by publishing and editing SharePoint Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications The Essentials Five (5) or more years of experience in a regulatory, compliance, quality assurance, or quality control environment with technical responsibilities Strong technical writing, editing and proofreading skills Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to break down complex concepts and requirements into simple, repeatable actions and processes Experience performing detailed analysis, extracting data, drawing conclusions from large datasets with compound information, and showcasing results and recommendations to management and key partners Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint The Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Criminal Justice, Communications or other related discipline Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory or legislative requirements, particularly associated with the California Public Utilities Commission Experience with energy efficiency programs or working in the utility industry Quality or audit certification (e.
g.
, Quality Auditor Certification, Quality Manager Certification, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, etc.
) Knowledge of best practices and standards in the field of risk management, regulatory compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO Framework, or ISO9001 quality standards Project Management or Six Sigma certification Experience presenting data in a visualized format to senior leaders Experience developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboards Ability to stay ahead of trends in relevant technology and innovation Strong problem-solving skills with hypothesis driven approach Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills Consistently able to synthesize information and recommend actionable solutions for own workstream(s) Experience performing and developing work products directly associated with ensuring regulatory compliance or operational compliance Experience reading, synthesizing, and writing regulatory-related documents Strong interpersonal communication skills and desire to build collaborative partnerships across internal functions Experience in working with cross-functional project teams Capable of focusing on high-priority issues or tasks and help relevant team members and stakeholders stay on track Capable of addressing quality or compliance gaps in collaboration with process owners in a productive and non-confrontational fashion You should know… This position’s work mode is hybrid.
The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.
