We are looking for a hands-on, collaborative problem solver to join the Hot Topic Corporate Shared Systems team.
You will need a firm grasp on financial systems and accounting concepts and provide domain and functional expertise to support Hot Topic’s Finance ERP Systems as well as work with our vendor partner to implement finance solutions on cloud.
This person will work with a team that supports all financial aspects and compliance applications in the Hot Topic eco-system.
To be successful in this role you will need to have strong analytical thinking skills with great client facing verbal and written communication skills to help you understand, document, recommend and implement approaches that will help grow the Hot Topic business.
You will need to be comfortable working with your team as well as taking on initiatives as solo missions to get the job done.

This role is open for Remote or Hybrid.
Pay range is $100K-125K

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Hot Topic’s financial systems including Financial ERP, financial reconciliation systems, and Lease management systems.
Act as SME in day-to-day interactions with Business partners, Project Managers, and team members.
Own and lead Finance-related system requests and projects, providing direction, and recommendations to the team.
Determine and communicate solution options first, by exhausting ERP/Finance configuration creatively and second, by working with vendor partners to develop enhancements.
Solve moderate to complex non-technical operation issues, but also understand technical matters to serve as the liaison between the Development/Integration team and the business.
Responsible for issue resolution, root cause analysis, communication, and deliverables around all financial systems issues and environments.
Responsible for SOX compliance of the systems and following all industry set protocols for data pulls and compliance.
Partner with the Hot Topic Security team as needed to maintain finance systems’ security and functionality.
Works on creation and maintenance according to all systems of process maps, data models, user manuals and any likewise documentation.
Lead the review, validation and testing of quarterly upgrade functionalities in Hot Topic Cloud applications, and help the users understand/adapt them.
Create or change documentation, and identify process and system improvements, best practices and other performance enhancing ideas.
Assist with testing/validation of changes to existing programs or implementation of new programs prior to release to production.
Provide clear and immediate communication and consultation within all parties in the business and IT resources on all technology related procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in areas related to Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, etc.
or likewise work experience.
A minimum of 7+ years of experience as an ERP Analyst, or Developer in the Retail Finance space.
A minimum of 5+ year of experience supporting and/or implementing some combination of Finance modules such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Revenue accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Management, and Procurement (Lawson, Oracle Financials, or other major Financial ERP Systems).
Ability to configure the Cloud Applications to meet business requirements and document application set-ups.
Experience in working with a team of mixed capabilities and level and working closely with your manager to help unblock challenges.
Experience with Lucernex and/or IBM Cognos Financials will be a plus
Experience and/or exposure to Merchandising applications will be a plus specifically working or partnering with a team that is in Oracle Retail Merchandising suite (specifically RMS Stockledger, Invoice Matching and Sales Audit).
Experience with other applications like Tax (Avalara), Lucernex, and/or IBM Cognos Financials will be a plus
Consideration for privacy and security obligations.
Experienced in working in geographically dispersed cross-team environment.
