PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Senior Accountant position is a key member of the accounting team.
This position will participate in all aspects of accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and support for financial reporting and analysis.
The Senior Accountant must possess a solid knowledge of accounting and GAAP, pay close attention to detail, and will ensure first-class financial management and accounting across company entities.
The candidate must display integrity and problem solving and analytical skills.
Bilingual of Chinese Mandarin is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support in performing and managing various aspects of the day-to-day general ledger activities.
Duties include regular GL account reviews, review of transaction activity to ensure proper classification, intercompany analysis and elimination, balance sheet account reconciliations, income statement analysis, and general trial balance review.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of overall monthly close activities, including but not limited to, journal entry preparation/review in areas including revenue, OPEX, intercompany, and consolidation, as well as understanding of related balance sheet accounts.
Ensure that work performed complies with generally accepted accounting principles and meets applicable SOX internal control requirements.
Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with operational members of the distribution centers and other stakeholders.
Ensure resolution of aged items on the balance sheet.
Assist in providing audit support to external auditors during quarterly and year-end audit engagements.
Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as necessary.
Work with Accounts Payable team to ensure timely invoice payment, expense accrual, and vendor record maintenance.
Assist with preparation of business activity reports, GL account analysis, and other ad hoc projects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive knowledge of general accepted accounting principles.
Highly proficient with accounting software.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records, proprietary and sensitive information.
Bilingual of Chinese Mandarin is preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or progress toward certification, strongly preferred.
At least 5 years of accounting experience that includes AP, AR, & GL accounting and financial reporting required.
Experience with SOX internal control preferred.
Experience with testing for systems implementations preferred but not required.

$80,000.
