Senior BSA Compliance Analyst
The Bank of East Asia, Limited, New York Branch is currently seeking a Senior BSA Compliance Analyst to join its Compliance team in Alhambra, CA.

About the role:
The BSA Compliance Analyst has an overall responsibility to assist the SVP/Compliance & BSA Officer with the daily functions to carry out the bank’s compliance program.
The BSA Compliance Analyst is responsible to conduct ongoing reviews of the first level customer/account/list alerts generated by the suspicious activity monitoring systems (SAM) and conduct compliance monitoring as detailed in the annual compliance plan (ACP).
What you’ll do:
Responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews of customer accounts and transactions to detect and prevent money laundering and other financial crimes
Investigate and resolve suspicious activities generated by monitoring systems
Perform enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers and transactions
Conduct BSA/AML/OFAC customer risk assessments and daily transaction review and other periodic compliance reviews
Conduct compliance testing and monitoring against existing internal controls, workflows and processes to identify potential weakness and instances of non-compliance
Review, document and dispose USA Patriot Act section 314a, OFAC and other sanction alerts in accordance with regulatory requirement and bank policies
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on compliance-related matters
Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices
Handle special projects as needed.
Possess B.
A.
in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experiences in a Compliance role within the financial service industry
Knowledge of AML, BSA and all related anti-money laundering and OFAC regulations
Hands-on working experiences and strong knowledge in KYC/CDD, risks assessments,
SAR reports filings, etc.
Proficiency in using compliance monitoring and surveillance tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certifications (e.
g.
: Certified Anti-money laundering specialist or Certified
Regulatory Compliance Manager or equivalent) preferred.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
ACAMS Certification Preferred
Skills and abilities:
Good written/oral communication; analytical, detail, organization and decision-making skills
Experience and knowledge of industry protocols, best practices and applicable BSA AML OFAC compliance requirements
Ability to manage sensitive information and data with a strong moral code and sense of ethics
Able to interact with other departments and all levels of associates
Excellent time and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $90,000
