Seeking a controller an individual will monitor the company's accounting and finance operations and will serve as the point of contact for all accounting matters for several associated companies while working directly with the company's CEO.
Actively monitors and completes period-end close responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met and all required activities are performed timely and accurately; this includes the preparation and/or review of period end journal entries, accruals, and moderately complex analyses.
Autonomously oversee the entire accounting function (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
) of multiple associated entities Ensure completion of month-end reports, bank reconciliations.
Works cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that we use the best information available for assumptions and accounting analysis.
Provide professional verbal and written correspondence, while working collaboratively with business partners.
Identify, research, and evaluate variances to expectations, and follow-through until resolution.
Prepare, review, and analyzed accounting/financial reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness Actively manages special projects/initiatives and performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
· 4+ years progressive experience in accounting preferably as a bookkeeper, senior accountant, or accounting manager.
· Ability and desire to work in the detail without significant staff and direct reports Proficient with Microsoft Office required, advanced Excel skills, ERP systems.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills required.
