*Summary of Responsibilities*
We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant with a minimum of 3 year’s public accounting experience.
Primary responsibilities will be preparation of federal, state and local tax filings as well as preparation of client financial statements and tax projections.
*Essential Functions*
* Prepare and review financial statements and workpapers
* Prepare and perform technical review of tax returns, as well as provide tax advice for individuals, partnerships, trusts and corporations
* Supervise/review financial statement reviews and audits
* Mentor staff/team members
* Strong willingness and eagerness to learn new technical subject areas
*Job Qualifications*
* Understanding of tax concepts related to individuals, C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, estates and trusts
* 3-5 years of tax experience with a public accounting firm
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field
* Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks along with tax preparation software such as BNA and Pro-System.
* Ability to interact and communicate with clients (written, verbal, and in-person)
* Ability to analyze issues, perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking to apply recommendations
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Self-motivator with excellent organization skills
*Education/ Experience*
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
* CPA License preferred
* 3+ years of recent, public accounting experience
* Experience with Xero, Bill.
com, and Ultratax is a plus
