Full Charge Bookkeeper

Responsibilities: · Oversee daily accounting for multiple stores · Manage accounts payable, including monthly rents and vendor payments · Perform bank reconciliations, posting transactions, and preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements · Manage cash in stores, credit card processing and PAYPAL transactions · Process bank deposits · Inventory costing · Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees · Submit quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, W2s and 1099s.
· Business License renewals · Pension Accounting · Maintain the Human Resources/Payroll and accounting system and personnel files · Employee scheduling · Maintain office and store supply inventory Qualifications: · Proficient in Quick Books · Ability to work independently with high reliability and attention to detail.
· Ability to understand and follow instructions, following through on responsibilities with little supervision · Ability to handle confidential information with discretion · Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or similar role We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as bookkeeper and HR manager for our family run business of high-end pawn shops in the Los Angeles area.
Our bookkeeping office is in Covina, CA.
