We are looking for looking for an accountant/senior accountant with expertise in payroll, inventory management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, month-end close, and financial statements.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Oversees and verifies the accuracy and timeliness of all finance reports, manages the day-to-day financial operations and month end/quarter-end reporting including payroll processing, expenses, AP/AR and fixed asset management ensuring financial statements are complete, accurate, and in compliance with U.
S.
GAAP requirements.
· Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts
· Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliation
· Revenue & COGS: Ensuring proper margin recognition and reconciling/recording transactions (Sales, Deferrals, Accruals, Returns, Discounts, Write-offs)
· Inventory Management: Reconciling inventory (physical, sub to GL), accruals, samples, inventory adjustments, obsolescence, monitor POs, managing physical inventory count, working with the operations team to track and pay for inventory.
· Payroll: bi-weekly payroll, wages, taxes, and associated accruals
· Prepaid Expenses: ensuring prepaid expenses are identified, ensure prepaids are properly segmented, maintaining prepaid schedules (inventory, packaging, marketing, etc.
), and amortizing expenses.
· Fixed Assets/Intangible Assets: ensuring assets are properly identified, updating schedules (by account), and recording depreciation/amortization
· Other duties as required.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* Full Accounting: 5+ years (Preferred)
* Inventory control: 3+ years (Preferred)
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, and effectively manage workload
* Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of professionals (colleagues, banking, legal, clients) verbally and written communication
* ERP experience preferred
* Advanced MS excel, MS word.
MS outlook skills preferred
* Experience with general ledger functions

· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
