We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.

*Position Overview:*
As a Staff Accountant at NGA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with state regulations.
You will collaborate closely with our senior accountant and finance team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Audit Support: Assist in preparing financial statements and documentation for audits, working closely with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
* Monthly Closing of Books: Contribute to the monthly closing process, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Tax Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize our tax position while adhering to tax laws and regulations.
* State Regulatory Compliance: Manage regulatory and compliance matters for the company in various states, staying informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
* Collaboration: Work alongside our senior accountant and finance team to provide support on various financial and accounting tasks.
Qualifications:
* CPA Certification: Must hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on audit, financial reporting, and tax planning to support our existing Senior Accountant and Finance Department.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
* Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with colleagues in various departments.
* Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
