Manage the Company’s financial statement close process, with an emphasis on financial accounting issues, the manufacturing accounting processes, and preparing the financial statements for review.
Assist the CFO and Controller in improving efficiencies and reducing costs through effective budgeting and analysis and by monitoring plant performance.
Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
Assist the Controller in managing the support of plant operations in the areas of accounting and sound internal financial controls environment.
The position requires a broad business perspective and must work effectively within a team environment to provide information and services to many other plant and corporate departments (Sales, Operations, engineering, etc) *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* This position requires the customary and regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the following essential duties: · Monitor and report company financial performance.
· As part of the monthly close process, provide advice to Controller on areas of financial and cost accounting issues.
· Take lead in monthly and quarterly financial reporting to CEMCO CFO · Direct the reporting and analysis of the Plant’s financial performance on a monthly basis, control the accurate inventory records for all Plant inventories.
· Provide leadership and direction in investigating and understanding all major manufacturing variances to ensure timely, actionable information to management.
· Provide analysis and leadership in business development such as margin improvement initiatives.
· Continue to refine and monitor daily cycle counts data reported from the plants.
· Assist the Controller in forecasting/budgeting and planning.
Develop monthly outlooks, and other financial analysis as required, through effective management of the accounting staff.
· Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements and provide analysis of variances to prior periods and budgets.
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS* · B.
S.
in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
· Advance degree preferred.
· CMA or CPA preferred.
· At least 5 years of manufacturing or related accounting experience required.
· At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience required.
*SKILLS* _*Language:*_ Good communication and team leadership skills, ability to work with and/or supervise a variety of people.
_*Computer:*_ Strong computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
ERP implementation experience desired.
_*Reasoning*_: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Ability to plan, organize and execute strategic plans.
_*Accounting Knowledge: *_Strong knowledge of financial accounting, application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applying corporate financial policies.
_*Other: *_Attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of an Accounting team.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must seldomly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.
00 - $140,000.
