New Century Auto Group is a family-owned automotive dealership based in Southern California.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our San Gabriel, California, team.
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the automotive industry.
This is a full-time, individual contributor position that offers a competitive salary in the range of $25 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Job Description As our corporate bookkeeper, you will be responsible for reconciling AP/AR and maintaining monthly financial statements for various entities associated with our dealership group.
You will also reconcile cash balances, bank accounts, and credit card statements.
You will handle the billing and equitable distribution of shared costs among our family of dealerships.
We need someone willing to work hard and take on challenging tasks.
You’ll help provide outstanding back-office support to our dealerships so they can focus on serving our customers.
Candidates will like this position if they like working with people, pay great attention to detail, have a strong accounting background, and enjoy semi-regular routines.

Responsibilities: - Record and maintain all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments - Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable - Manage accounts payable and receivable aging reports and ensure timely payments from customers - Process payroll and maintain payroll records - Assist with budget preparation and analysis - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and company policies - Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders - Update and maintain accounting and financial records using accounting software - Other ad-hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned Requirements: - Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the automotive industry - Extensive experience with using QuickBooks - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with software such as QuickBooks, Word, and Excel.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be organized and have excellent attention to detail.
A bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting a plus.
