ACCOUNTANT - Upland, Ca.
The Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest real estate developers and property management companies in the nation has an immediate opening for an experienced Accountant to join the accounting team at the corporate office in Upland, CA.
Reporting to the Joint Venture Accounting Supervisor, our ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience in a fast-paced, team environment.
Some of your duties will include the following: • Preparing and reconciling joint venture reports.
• Preparing and distributing various monthly billings.
• Preparing paperwork for construction loan draws and tracking draw-related costs.
• Prepare capital calls and track receipts.
• Prepare monthly profit/loss calculations and income allocations for joint venture companies.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations for various accounts and related journal entries • Prepare payroll reports • Prepare various ad-hoc analyses and reports To be successful, you should have 1-3 years of accounting experience with a good understanding of financial statements, i.
e.
balance sheet, income statement, etc.
An Accounting degree or similar is a plus.
Bonus points for any experience with TM1.
More Skills to help you: You should be confident with MS Excel, and have good communication skills, written and verbal.
These are essential as you will interact with a variety of corporate and regional employees, as well as outside partners and accounting departments.
Familiarity with project cost accounting including cost allocation, inventory, and cost of sales is a plus.
