Position Overview:
We're looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to handle various responsibilities, including making, freezing, and packaging popsicles, washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and providing support in the business’s other activities, including retail and catering.
This is a part-time role, perfect for someone who is looking to contribute to a dynamic team and grow alongside the company
Responsibilities:
* Follow established procedures to prepare and freeze popsicles with attention to detail.
* Efficiently package popsicles and ensure that all packaging meets our quality standards.
* Wash dishes promptly to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards to uphold food safety regulations.
* Keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and sanitized.
* Assist with general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment.
* Provide support in retail activities, including assisting customers and processing transactions.
* Learn about our products to effectively communicate with customers.
* Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
* Take initiative to acquire new skills and contribute to the team's success.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a kitchen or food production environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Valid Food Handlers Card is required.
* Ability to lift 20 pounds.
* Availability for Monday to Friday afternoons and evenings.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
