Position Summary
Part-time Group Sales Coordinator is customer service oriented and requires communicating with hundreds of different individuals in a pleasant and prompt manner.
Group Sales Coordinator will be answering questions and booking reservations for large groups and events.
Duties and responsibilities
Daily Duties:
• Establish clear expectations for customers throughout the sales process
• Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing) - possesses confident telephone skills and etiquette
• Enter group bookings in reservations system
• Answer incoming group inquiries
• Upsell group reservations
• Maintain knowledge of group terms and conditions
• Transfers accurate, complete, and timely information to operating departments
• Able to prioritize, organize and follow-up in a timely manner with guests
• Effectively resolves guest issues that arise because of the sales process.
Brings issues to the attention of the Supervisor as appropriate
• Demonstrate strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Send weekly group booking details to operating department managers
• Maintain Group Sales Calendar(s)
• Reach out to potential new customers (cold calling, appointment setting)
• Build/maintain excellent rapport with existing and new clients
• Occasionally serve as a business representation at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions
• Maintain a broad understanding of the products and calendar to act as a Reservation Agent and sell a memorable experience to guests in all capacities
• Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a synergistic team
• Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• 1+ years of customer service experience (reservation or sales experience a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficient with Google Drive
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines, with the ability to adapt within a changing environment
• Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
