The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company receives all necessary payments from debtors.
Duties include monitoring accounts payable statements to identify debts owed to the company, contacting customers or business partners to notify them of overdue payments and documenting debts collected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates and distributes premium billing statements.
Processes payment files, including application and reconciliation of premium account balances.
Tracks premium due dates and late payments and communicates with employer groups
Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments.
Responds to customer questions.
Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
Responsible for monitoring business processes and suggesting improvements to leadership.
Monitors individual performance to ensure results meet expected quality and performance objectives.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 3 years’ relevant work experience
Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Accountability/Complexity: Delivers operational results that have moderate impact on the achievement of departmental results.
