AHD is growing and we are looking for an *Accounts Payable Specialist* to join our team! The *Accounts Payable Specialist *responsibilities include ownership of all Freight outbound and Freight inbound invoice processing with daily, weekly and monthly recurring critical responsibilities, reconciling account balances, prepare and process weekly bank ACH, Wire and check payments.
The A/P Research problematic accounts, work with other Accounts Payable team member to stay on top of departmental and companywide needs, assist with month-end close activities, including strong emphasis on accruals, credit card and bank activity and reconciliations.
*What you will do…*
· Take ownership and process daily, weekly and monthly Accounts Payable critical tasks/responsibilities
· Prepare weekly ACH, Wire and check payments
· Report and reconcile weekly bank transactions
· Follow up with approvers and have a sense of urgency for aging invoices pending approval
· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, credit card and cash reconciliations
*What we are looking for…*
· Demonstrate strong team oriented support of the accounting department
· Follow through on critical deliverables and focus on accuracy and efficiency
· Possession of a broad and deep working knowledge of full cycle Accounts Payables and General Ledgers
· Experience with month end closing, including balance sheet, credit card and cash reconciliations and booking accruals
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with the accounting department and also across other departments
· Possesses a sense of urgency and is highly organized to stay on top of daily, weekly and monthly deliverables, while focusing on accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement
