A 10-person CPA firm in Arcadia is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant.
Seeking candidates with at least 3 years of accounting clerk experience and/or administrative assistant, preferably in a CPA firm.
Must know how to do data entry, journal entries, and bank reconciliations in Quickbooks.
Must have experience doing accounts payable and running payroll.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Candidate should be friendly, reliable, organized, detail oriented, and self-starting with good communication skills.
Normal business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
From January through April, availability on Saturdays is required as it is tax season and there is a higher volume of work.
Must handle pressure well and be able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities: * Data entry, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, and payroll using Quickbooks * Process income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations and assist with processing and mailing financial statements and annual projects such as 1099, 571-L, business tax, and W-2 preparation * Run small errands, correspond regularly with other staff and clients via email and phone * File, scan, copy, and shred documents * Process income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations and assist with processing and mailing financial statements and annual projects such as 1099, 571-L, business tax, and W-2 preparation * Assist the accounting staff in managing deadlines and to-do lists * Special projects and tasks as assigned Requirements: * Experience as an Accounting Clerk or Administrative Assistant in a professional environment (accounting firm highly preferred) * Quickbooks data entry experience required * Good experience with a paperless filing system * Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and able to prioritize effectively * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Legally eligible to work in the United States Benefits include: Earned paid vacation, paid sick leave, six paid holidays, health insurance compensation, Simple IRA (available after one year of employment) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.
